AMAZING new recipe!
Peanut Sesame Noodles
You know I LOVE good Asian food- well, I found a new website/blog that I am smitten with!
Check it out here: http://smittenkitchen.com/2008/04/peanut-sesame-noodles/
So, I tried the recipe and it was so yummy! They suggest you serve it cold- I ate it hot and then cold- I think cold is the best and mine seems darker I think because I didnt use enough noodles.
Hope you try it out!
Elijah loved it!

God is in Control
God Is in Control
by:Twila Paris
This is no time for fear
This is a time for faith and determination
Don't lose the vision here
Carried away by emotion
Hold on to all that you hide in your heart
There is one thing that has always been true
It holds the world together
God is in control
We believe that His children will not be forsaken
God is in control
We will choose to remember and never be shaken
There is no power above or beside Him, we know
God is in control, oh God is in control
History marches on
There is a bottom line drawn across the ages
Culture can make its plan
Oh, but the line never changes
No matter how the deception may fly
There is one thing that has always been true
It will be true forever
He has never let you down
Why start to worry now?
He is still the Lord of all we see
And He is still the loving Father
Watching over you and me
This is no time for fear
This is a time for faith and determination
Don't lose the vision here
Carried away by emotion
Hold on to all that you hide in your heart
There is one thing that has always been true
It holds the world together
God is in control
We believe that His children will not be forsaken
God is in control
We will choose to remember and never be shaken
There is no power above or beside Him, we know
God is in control, oh God is in control
History marches on
There is a bottom line drawn across the ages
Culture can make its plan
Oh, but the line never changes
No matter how the deception may fly
There is one thing that has always been true
It will be true forever
He has never let you down
Why start to worry now?
He is still the Lord of all we see
And He is still the loving Father
Watching over you and me
I just love the lyrics to this song and in light of all the changes in our government, it is SO comforting to know that man can make plans that we might not agree with and that may even scare us, but the underlying truth is
GOD IS IN CONTROL
Nothing that happens on this world has taken Him by surprise
I love the words in Proverbs
"The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord. He turns it wherever He wills."
I struggle with worry. It is the one sin that besets me the most and that I need to pray for victory over the most.
Mainly, I worry about my children or husband becoming sick or dying unexpectedly. I know its wrong and I try every day to remind myself to think on things that are TRUE,LOVELY,etc...
So what a HUGE truth for me to remember that God is in control. He has purposes and reasons that I may not be able to understand or see, but He is sovereign and I can TRUST him!

New Friendship is Blooming
I am so excited make new friends!
For those of you who dont know, Mark and I are helping with a church plant here in Denver with the Mondragon family, who just moved here from Kentucky.
(Mark and Chad went to high school together and one year at Northland)
Melody is Chad's wife and my new friend:)
We have much in common and get along very well, in my opinion!
And our little kiddos seem to like on another too!
Melody has Julianna(2-almost 3), Adeline(1) and Breckenridge(2 months)
We went to the Wildlife Experience for FREE (culture pass) with 5 kiddos 3 and under! Good times.
Addie and Elijah really seem to be hitting it off- Elijah LOVES to hug her!
Although I am excited for Breckenridge to get a bit bigger so Elijah can have a guy friend!
I am excited to see how God is going to use the Mondragons here in Centennial
and am even more excited to begin a new journey of friendship!

A Valentine Wedding
Tina and Matt got married on Valentine's Day at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. After the ceremony, we celebrated. I made the cake and it turned out really nice! It was fun to make and it was the first time I made a HUGE cake - it could have fed 100 people, I'm sure!!
Congrats Matt and Tina!

PINK! PINK! PINK!
My sweet friend, Katie is FINALLY having a girl after 3 little boys!
We had her baby shower last night and I made the PINK cake!
It turned out cute and I was so happy to help
Katie celebrate little Jadyn's arrival
with all things PINK and girly!
(on a side note, I miss my dad. Every time I decorate a cake, I think of him and wish he could see my creations, offer advice and critique it:) He truly was a master decorator! and I really feel I gained MUCH knowledge and a love for cake decorating from him)

I made this!
Can you believe that I made this felt clutch purse and I even made the little flowers! It was so much fun! Littleton Bible Chapel has a ladies craft night every few months and they had this as one of the projects. It was pretty easy to make and I really need to get a sewing machine so I can make more projects like this! I do enjoy being crafty and learning new things!
