"Baby It's Cold Outside" Baby Shower

One of my dearest friends, Nathalie, welcomed a beautiful baby girl into their family thru adoption in November. It has been such a JOY to walk thru this process with their family. Our Missional Community Group threw her a shower and it was overwhelming how many people came and showered Ruth with love and gifts!
We used the theme, "Baby It's Cold Outside"
I found loads of free chalkboard printables and decorated in doilies (snowflakes) and pink roses.
We had a fun snowball tower of donuts and a delicious hot cocoa bar!
We played "Guess the Baby" with old baby pics of each guest.

We couldn't be happier that Ruth is here!

A Tea Party Baby Shower

Continuing in my blog catching up- this post takes up back to June 2012.
We celebrated the arrival of little Beccah to our Sola Family!
Melody and Val threw a beautiful tea party in honor of our special little guest.

We just love baby Beccah and can't believe she is almost 6 months old already!

Showering Jen's Little Pumpkin Baby Shower

We were honored to celebrate the expected arrival of Jen's little baby boy (due in December).
We went with a fall theme and used some of the colors in her nursery.
Julie created the beautiful decor and Val put together a yummy brunch menu.
The food was amazing! We have some pretty awesome cooks here at Sola!
I think we should create a cookbook to share recipes.

Jen is looking absolutely adorable and its so fun to share in her excitement for the first little life added to their family. And I cannot wait to find out his name.
Congratulations Jen and Josh!

Day 12- Mark- Park with 100 kids / Tina's Owl Baby Shower

Today we celebrated Tina and baby Natalia at Lodo's.
Tina is due the end of July and we are VERY excited to meet her sweet little girl!
Natalia's bedroom theme is "owls" in light pink, brown and green so thats what we went for the shower decor. I found this CUTE owl cake on Martha Stewart and its one of my favorite ones that I've ever made.

The brushetta was out of this world!
This was the first baby shower my girls have gone to and they LOVED it!

This quilt below was given to Tina by Matt's grandmother and it has been in the family MANY generations- such a cool tradition to pass along.

It was a very full and good day spent with my wonderful family! and Elijah got to spend the whole day with grandpa and Avery and had the time of his life! He talked all about it on the way home tonight:)

Mark has a busy day ahead so if you are reading this late at night, please pray for him. He will be preaching up to 4 times again Sunday (which is now) They will also hold another VBS and youth rally and have the main church service. They are very close to being done in Africa and we are very excited to have him home! Make sure to check out www.valorkenya.com for some pretty cool pictures. I especially love the ones of them building the houses! Today they were going to take a bunch of elementary kids to an African park- not the kind we think of in America, but he said they can ride camels, etc. I haven't talked to him yet tonight to see how it went but I am sure the kids had fun.

Superhero Baby Shower

Our church had the privileged of throwing Val a superhero themed baby shower for her little man, who was unnamed at the time- hence an "E" for Endyk!
Of course, I used Pinterest for inspiration in my decorating and food choices!
Special thanks to Erika, Laura and Debbie for helping with the decorations
and
Sandra, Sue, Glo and Melody for bringing all the food!

Yes, that is "Kryptonite" candy- it really glowed!

Seriously, isn't Val the cutest thing! She made her own special Party shirt:)

Val got so many cute baby boy gifts!

We are so blessed to have a church with lots of kiddos and even more on the way!
And we are even more blessed to have a special friend like Val in our body!
By the way, she had her little boy only 5 days after the shower.
They named him Calvin Michael and he is as cute as can be!
