Growing Up

Sophia has been bugging em for a while now to get her bike out of the garage so she can ride it-I always say no because she doesn't know how to ride it without training wheels. We tried this summer and we helped her and everything but she just couldn't get it! Well, today it was a nice afternoon (shes in short sleeves) so I said okay and wouldn't you know- she jumped right on the bike and just started riding! I couldn't believe it! She can ride a big bike! She was cruising up and down the side walk and street and was doing great! Arianna tried a few times and did better than this past summer so it wont be too long till she gets it, I think.
Then later on this evening Sophie asked me is she could listent to the Ipod-I said okay and she stuffs it in the back pocket of her skinny jeans and puts the earphones in and off she be-bopped away. I am honestly tearing up as I write this post- she is getting so old and so mature and growing up!
Pretty soon it will be car she is learning to drive!
Where does the time go?
My sweet little girl is growing up and Im not quite ready for it!

Puppies, Puppies Everywhere

Nothing is sweeter than a cute little puppy.
They look at you with those sad little puppy eyes.
Their fur is so soft and wrinkly.
Puppies breath is the yummiest smell ever.
They are just so dang cute!

And you know what's cuter than 1 adorable little puppy?
13 wriggly, brown, snuggly, calm, sleepy puppies!
We got to visit with Aunt Tina and Uncle Matt's 13 little puppies this past weekend and
our whole family was in {LOVE}.
It was puppy heaven!
Now mind you, I do NOT like dogs. At. All.
But puppies, I adore!
They are tiny. They are playful. They fit in your arms.
They smell so good!
The kids begged to take one home. The problem is that these are puppies that have been breed so they cost a boatload of money and the biggest problem is that they grow to be the size of my 7 yr olds- no lie!
They are HUGE when all grown up- like massive! Like they scare me when I walk in Tinas house:)
I must say, they are very gentle though but still- they are beasts!
So we will just come over again on Thanksgiving to get our puppy fix before they are sold:(
Thanks, Tina and Matt, for letting us enjoy your little pups!

The kids will remember it forever!
And so will I:)

"Fall"ing Head Over Heels

Silverthorn, CO
Sometimes I look at pictures like these and my eyes tear up- where has the time gone?
My kids are growing like weeds!
I am no longer a mom to tiny little munchkins but big kids:)
It melts my heart and makes me savor the moments because they grow so fast!
Embrace those munchkins and big kids today....
because they grow up in a blink of an eye!

Embrace the Camera {LOVE}

SO weird, my original post completely disappeared. So I must repost this picture.
I was saying, that I really am liking the music of Ingrid Michaelson. She has some really pretty folksy love songs that I have recently downloaded to my IPod.

"The Way I Am"

If you were falling, then I would catch you.
You need a light, I'd find a match.

Cuz I love the way you say good morning.
And you take me the way I am.

If you were chilly, here take my sweater.
Your head is aching, I'll make it better.

Cuz I love the way you call me baby.
And you take me the way I am.

I'd buy you Rogaine when you start losing all your hair.
Sew on your patches to all you tear.

Cuz I love you more than I could ever promise.
And you take me the way I am.
You take me the way I am.
You take me the way I am.

Another GREAT song by her is
Take a listen :)

Embrace the Camera: Skater Style

Elijah got a skateboard.
He adores it.
He is very slow.
He has fallen a gazillion times.
He likes it when mommy helps him go fast.

Sweet Summer Mornings

 I LOVE summer mornings!

Elijah runs around till 11 in his undies and usually has a stuffed animal in his hands-
today its Hello Kitty! Dont ask me! His hair is like a bush- I dont know what to do with it. I want it longer but its so fine. I may give him a mini mohawk! (my brothers new cut inspired me)
 It'll be sweet.

Sophia's hair looks like its been blown by a hurricane! She wants it as long as Tangled. It now hits her shoulder blades- its long. Sophia is such a helper to me in the morning. Its great.

Arianna would live in her pjs if allowed. She is definitely a relaxed, comfortable kinda girl!

Ella gets dressed as soon as she wakes up. Today she found a shirt of mine that looked like a dress to her so she's wearing it. whatever. Its summer!

Sadly, summer mornings must come to an end!
We will need to start getting ready earlier.. routines will go into effect.
Hair will be tamed.
Clothes will be put on!
I am ready!

I leave you with some SWEET pics of my garden tomatoes-
they are divine.and I have hundreds!!!
I pick them every Morning and I must say I so look forward to it!

We also have some new house guests which we check in on every morning
The twins got live bugs for their birthday and we have watched them go from caterpillars to butterflies- its been an amazing journey and soon they will be freed.

Enjoy your sweet summer mornings
for soon they will be memories!

Embrace the Camera: August 4th

I love my kids. A lot. I missed them when I was in San Diego. What do you say, did I miss?

I missed the way Elijah grabs my face and kisses it
with such spontaneity it melts my heart.
I missed the hearing Ella address me
as her "twin". It cracks me up!
I missed Sophia always being there to help me
with whatever I need with no complaining at all!
I missed Arianna's endless handwritten notes
inviting me to her tea parties!

It was a refreshing and restful trip that made me appreciate my munchkins
even more and made the little things they do every day seem
so much more important!
