Happy New years Eve 2012

The Schwehrs threw a great New Years Eve party- full of good food, dancing, games and friends.

 We celebrated on Eastern Time for the kids with sparkling apple cider! 

 Cameron even hooked up the basement with a disco ball! 

 We all on the other hand, made it to midnight:) 

 So did these three girlies!

Jenny and Brian had a VERY fun NewYears Eve Party to ring in the New year! Lots of yummy food, fun games and friends! Couldnt ask for more.

 

 My kiddos conked out around 9:30pm.

Also, wanted to include a few pictures from our annual kids Christmas party that Erika throws at her place! Its always so much fun and the kids look forward to it every year:) Here that Erika, you need to keep it going:) lol! You do an AWESOME job and it always turns out great!

Forgot my camera for that party so my phones blurry pics will have to do! 

LOVED all the holiday FUN but so glad its over and things are settling down and back to normal.

Excited for the warmer weather thats supposed to be coming today and the rest of this week! 

And its a free day at the zoo! 

Recap: New Year's Day

 Another tradition our family has is our annual New Years swim!

We go to our local rec center and swim in the indoor pool.

They have the perfect kiddie pool and the kid just love it!

Markand I love the hot tub the best-

the jets do wonders on achy backs and sore shoulders.

On another note, I am so very thankful for God's protection of our family.

The other night the girls kept coming to us saying their were weird noises coming from their room. 

We dismissed it  but they were persistent and we finally checked. 

Sparks were flying out of a socket in their wall. 

We immediately shut off the breaker to their room.

Praise God it didnt happen in the middle of the night.

A fire could have easily started seeing as the socket was right behind their book shelf! 

The electrician came and replaced several old sockets 2 days ago.

Just so thankful God protected our little family! 

Ringing in The New Year!

Yes, we stayed up till midnight 

playing The Settlers of Catan,

getting our butts kicked by Bobby,

eating snacks,

watching the ball drop,

kissing our spouses,

all while the kiddos slept soundly in bed!

Here's to a New Year filled with more memories made with family and friends

and more opportunities to see Christ proclaimed and glorified

and His church and people strengthened and built up!

New Years Eve Festivites

New Years Eve was fun this year- normally we crash around 11pm and just stay home. Well, this year, we were invited to the Nash house! We stayed for about2 hours and the kids had fun exploring their HUGE playroom and the adults had fun eating and playing games. After leaving there, we went home and had the Kochacans and the Lutz family over till midnight. Marks parents stopped by for a little too. We played poker and Apples to Apples till midnight!

We toasted in the New Year with the Lutzs and amazingly all teh kids stayed awake except for Elijah who crashed pretty early!

I had fun making food for the occassion- I made crab stuffed mushrooms for the Nashes and crabdip( which we ended up eating on New Years Day) and Chili Con Queso for our house. It was all SO good!
