Christmas Gift Reviews

So, I stole this title from my husband's blog because I really am bad at thinking of titles for my posts. This year was a REALLY nice Christmas and I got a lot of VERY nice gifts! Usually we get money from relatives which is GREAT but it's also fun to open things as well. So, here are some highlites from what I got...

1. From my mom- a HUGE gift basket filled with my favorite things- Ghiradeli chocolate, cute coffee mugs, Dunkin Donutes coffee, Tastycakes and a cute country ornament. I think the mugs are my favorite since I am constantly drinking coffee and tea.

2. From my husband- Apples to Apples- it is SUCH a fun game and I've wanted it for a while. I know its not very romantic but we really don't get one another very much since we don't have the money and we actually really like to eat out so that is what we normally do for special occasions! And it is SO nice having family nearby to babysit when we do go out!

3. From my inlaws- They were SO sweet and got me everything off my list but the "romantic" things:) My favorite is my BIG pasta pot with strainer and steamer inserts- its GREAT! I cook pasta SO much around here (its one of few things my twins will eat) and I actually never had a strainer so I had to use a spoon. Anyway, this pot is great! I can just pick the insert out and it strains the water right out. They also got me a teapot, pot holders, rolling pin and another favorite gift- A Nursing Cover!!!!

Christmas 2008

Here are a few snapshots from Christmas Eve (celebrated at my inlaws) and Christmas Day (celebrated at my house) We had a VERY relaxing Christmas, which was nice. My mother in law made an amazing roast and Emy made some great cookies and I made pumpkin roll. YUM!!!
We opened presents and the girls were spoiled as usual (thanks everyone!) They played and played with all their toys until it was time to go. Christmas morning, we opened gifts( from us and family in PA) and the girls again played and played until well after lunch. I was very pleased with their attitudes towards the presents this year. They didn't cry and whine and said "thank you" and "I love you, mommy", after it was all over!! Christmas night, we dropped off Elijah at Aunt Emys and Ella at Grandmas and Mark and I took the girls to see "The Tale of Desperaux"- such a cute movie!!! Sophia ate so much popcorn I thought she'd get a tummy ache! It was a fun holiday!

Christmas Program Take 3

The final and last performance was at Cubbies. The teacher reads Luke 2 while the kids come out when their part is read. It is SO cute!!!

The twins second performance was at church- they sang a few songs and THANK GOODNESS did not pull their skirts up like last year- my babies are growing up!

Sophia was an angel for the Preschool Christmas program- she did such a GOOD job- always singing and following the teachers cues so well. Arianna on the other hand....
was MARY (her wish came true) and had fun playing with her friend next to her and waving at mommy- she did a good job and it was funny to see the twins different personalities emerge!
Aunt Emy, Val, Alex, Aunt Tina and Grandma and Grandpa all came to see the girls big production- thank you guys - it meant a lot to our family!!!

What do you want to be when you grow up?

I frequently ask this question to my twins and Arianna has consistently replied "a cowgirl" for the past few months- maybe one day she'll have a horse ranch in the mountains and invite us all over for Christmas!!Sophia has had a plethora of responses with the most recent being a pilot- she can fly us to Arianna's ranch for Christmas!


No response from Ella, but I think she'd make a good birdie!
