So, this was funny. I dont think my twins are ready to go job interviewing yet:) They dont really get how to answer questions. And Ella really has a one track mind- waffles, pancakes, Daddy:)
To complete this post I thought I'd post some pictures from our morning at the park. I dont think I should have taken them because I am still sick (day #3) but I was feeling guilty because the weather has been in the 70's and we havent made it outside because of my deathly sickness. So, the fresh air would be great, I thought.
Well, Mark took the van because he had his big interview today (thats a whole other post) and I was carless. So, I loaded Ella and Elijah up in the wagon and we walked the mile to the park. Going there was no problem, coming back was terrible (all up hill) my chest was burning so bad and it didnt help that it was windy. Needless to say the kids had a blast and we all took 2 hr naps and I am feeling better- maybe fresh air and sunshine is good for you!!
Oh, Mark took the kids to the park Monday and that was Elijahs first time on the swings and he LOVED it, of course Mark didnt have the camera so I made sure to capture some memories today! He is a cutie!

Sick again

Well, I am STILL sick. I have had a fever for the past 2 days and I cant talk once again. It feels like my throat is on fire and if I breathe in wrong a coughing fit starts that wont stop till tears are pouring down my face! Oh its bad.

Since I'm not wonder woman,I have several people to thank...
Wendy who covered my shift at work for me last night
Marks parents who picked up the kids last night around 5 and kept them till Mark was done with his meeting so I could rest and boy did I ever appreciate that!
And Mark who took off work yesterday morning to take care of me and the kids- He made me chicken noodle soup, got me endless drinks thru the night, got up with all the kids in the middle of the night, let me sleep till 9 am, fed the kids breakfast and took them to the park while I went to the doctor, and so much more. Did I ever mention what a GREAT husband I have?

The doctor said I have a virus. They tested for strep and I don't have it- I wish I did. Then they would give me medicine to make me feel better quick! I am miserable. I actually woke up today feeling so good- just a sore throat but after a WIC appointment, Kohls stop to search for shoes for my hubbys interview tomorrow and picking up the twins at school and general caring for them, I know have a 101 degree fever and feel like I could fall over.... Please pray that this leaves me soon!!!!

I am tired. I may try to nap. That is all for now.

Boys and their Toys

Elijah is too cute with his truck- this is the only boy toy that we have in the house and Elijah loves to play with it. He is into grabbing two toys and banging them together, It is so cute. I love hese pictures. Hope you like them too:)

SALSA CRAZE

The past 2 weeks, I have been eating salsa almost every day. I crave homemade salsa- if I new it weren't impossible, I'd think I was preggo again. I make a bowl every day and eat it all in one sitting! My inlaws always make homemade salsa, so I thought I'd give it a try and I am hooked!

Here is my recipe... (actually Marks dads recipe:)
2-3 tomatoes
bunch of cilantro
2 green onions
tsp of lemon juice
1 jalopeno pepper- this is where it gets tricky- I have made 2 batches that burned my tongue off, but I think I have it- use only a quarter to half of the seeds inside. (the seeds make it hot)
garlic- dont use the whole clove or it gets too strong (learned the hard way and all night at church I smelled my garlicy breath!)
Throw all of these FRESH ingredients into a food processor and chop for a few minutes and PRESTO- fresh salsa!
Oh, I also add half an avocado and salt

It is so good...

Prayer Request

Just thought I'd share a request with you all. Mark is looking for a new job next year (well school year) and has a BIG interview this Thursday at Valor Christian Academy in Highlands Ranch, Colorado! This school is amazing- 500 kids in 9th-12th grade and state of the art brand new facilities. They pay amazing as well- as much as public schools which would be a GREAT blessing for our family of 6! It is very competitive to get hired at this school, so we will see what God has in store for our family! Mark would really like the job. We would move closer to this school which is in a really nice part of Denver. We even house searched and found some GREAT houses that were very comparable to what we are paying now but a HOUSE- oh, that would be nice! I am trying not to get my hopes up too high, but I am excited! Big changes in store for us yet again! But I can honestly say that I am not worried about the future. Its amazing the peace God gives when we realize that HE is completely in control and has mapped out our future- so why should I worry? He has continually taken care of us in the past and will continue to do so- what an awesome God we serve. So, if you all could keep this in prayer over the next few days, we would appreciate it!

A Miracle

Yes, my friends, Elijah slept thru the night last night with out waking once! Can you believe it? I certainly can't! I wish I could say that I am well rested and ready to take on the day but the fact is that I am exhausted. Ella woke up twice and crawled into bed needling her way in between mommy and daddy. Mark put her back to bed twice. Sophia woke up twice crying as loudly as she could about her throat and leg hurting her. Mark got her juice. Arianna crawled into our bed wanting to be cuddled. Mark put her back. Do I have a great husband or what? Around 2am the baby who lives above our apartment started crying and continued crying until this morning at 6. I was getting worried thinking something may have happened to her parents since the crying was very loud and not stopping. She still is crying as I am typing- I am debating whether or not to go knock on the door and see if everything is okay. So needless to say, I am tired as I start this Monday morning. On another note, the weather is going to be 74 today! I need to go to the park..
