Handysides Visit

I do love my friend Val, and am so thankful that her husband is in Voss lighting and that Voss has a branch in Colorado and that someone needed to be trained in that branch in Colorado
so I can visit with Val!
They came from Thursday to Sunday and we were busy:)
We went to the Wildlife Experience, Mt Evans, Daniels Park, Idaho Springs, Cheesecake Factory, Providence for Church, pizza with the Larsens, Colorado Mills and LOTS of poker playing:) It was so much fun! The twins loved having Carly around, and baby Handyside decided not to make her appearance in Colorado:)
Thanks for a great visit, Val and Tim!

Go, Diego,Go!

Well, we finally got cable after over a year without it.
I enjoy cable.
I like to watch movies and my favorite channels- TLC and The Food Network.
My children LOVE cable because of 4 shows in particular.
They do not watch more than these shows because most others are junk.
We DVR these 4 shows so we can watch them whenever.
The 4 shows are:
Go, Diego, Go
Dora the Explorer
Special Agent OSO
Little Einsteins
I really do like these shows because they are so educational and have no inappropriate comments, situations, etc. And my kids are learning Spanish words- amazing!
I really think these shows have aided Elijah in his very vast vocabulary!
He knows so many words like map, click, go, Diego, Dora, etc
Its cute to see the 2 little ones watch these shows in the morning together and sign along!

FREE FUN

Dont you just love FREE things:) I got an email about a free day at Monkey Buziness to celebrate their 1 yr anniversary! So, 2 Saturdays ago, we went and had a fun time! It was not too crowded in the early wee hours of Saturday morning but by afternoon it was packed!
They had balloon creations, face painting, cake, pizza and coffee all for free!
We stayed for 4 hours and the kids played and crafted:)
Can't beat it!

And today, we are headed to the zoo for a FREE day
while Mark recovers from being sick- poor guy!

Curly Q's

Look past the two cute girls to the curlies in their hair! I made them! It was so easy and I have been having a ball creating new hair curlies that match every outfit they have:)
Here is what you will need:
grosgrain ribbon
small wooden dowels in different sizes
wooden clothespins
scissors
baking sheet lined with foil
Fray check
barrettes
hot glue
Directions: Just wrap the ribbon tightly around the wooden dowel, secure with clothespins and bake at 275 on the cookie sheet for about 20 minutes. Once finished, unroll and cut about 2 inch strips. Fray check the ends. Tie a piece of embroidery floss around the middle in a tight knot. Hot glue on to a barrette! Super easy, inexpensive and cute!
have fun creating!

Sophia

Sophia has grown a lot in the past few months as well! She seems so much taller too me lately
and she is so loving and cuddly! She is doing really well at staying in her bed all night
(as well as the other 3-its been great to get good nights sleep!)
Sophia also loves school and her teacher.
She has been going to AWANA at church and is in the Sparks program.
Her favorite tv show is Dora.
I love my Soph!
Sophia asked me today, "Mom, do dads cook?" I said yes but not as good as mommys!
