 You guessed it- swimming again!
This time for several hours- ir was wonderful!

 Val and Julia joined us!

Other than that, it was a pretty routine day. We bought more crickets for the gecko and watched him gobble them up- it was pretty cool. The kids LOVED it!

Journal Update: Day 12 of 17

We had a wonderful day at Ladies Coffee today- we all met at a splash pad and even though it was a bit windy- it was great to sit and relax with friends and LOTS of babies!!

Elijah LOVEd the mud puddles in the sand area:)

The girls found these HUGE dandelions!

I was able to get a little nap today which was nice seeing as I had a big evening out on the town! Megan  and I went to see a movie and grabbed a bite to eat at LIME- it was Yummy! And it was a  great break from the kiddos!
Special thanks to Ryan and Erika who came over and watched the kiddos!
If you have never been to Landmark- you must go- movies were $9 and they give you free popcorn and soda(as much as you want) and the seats were super comfy!
I think Mark and I will be making a trip there upon his return!

Did I mention that I just love Megan- she has been staying here with me and I cannot tell you how awesome it has been to have her around! Love you, friend!
Just a side note: I havent talked to Mark in 2 days and it stinks!
I miss him
and his voice,
and his face,
and his kisses,
and his hugs,
and you get the point!

Journal Update: Day 11 of 17

Didnt blog yesterday but it was a F U N day! It rained most fo the day and that wasnt too cool but the
F U N stuff we did was super cool!
Chuckie Cheese got a visit from us with cousin Valy and everyone had a ball!
Even me!
With little kids tokens last FOREVER and
$20 will get you around 2 hours of fun! No kidding

After Chuckie Cheese we grabbed some lunch at Chickfila- yumm!!! And then headed to the Mondragons to watch their little ones while Chad and Mel skipped town on their vacation to the mountains! 7 kids (6 and under) is quite the load but it was made VERY easy since I had one HELPFUL teen, Valerie, with me- she was the BEST!
The kids loved her and the rain even parted so we could play outside!!
and by the way, it was even her birthday!

We didnt do much that night other than regular household chores which Megan voluntarily offered to help with:) and which of course, I took her up on! I fed the gecko and he gobbled up 6 crickets in like a minute- it was cool and gross. I need to go buy more! I did get to run out for Oreos to Target and the supposed to be 15 minute trip turned into an hour-
Target is just too much fun to browse at 9:00 at night-
noone is in the store- its quite- I LOVE it!
and it was just what I needed!

Journal Update: Day 10 of 17

We had dual celebrations at Grandma and Grandpas today-
Valerie turns the big 16 tomorrow!!!

a little video tribute to Valy (that Alex and Avery made) that made everyone cry:)

and...Happy Fathers Day Grandpa!

val, Alex and Avery made a scavenger hunt for grandpas present based off the map from the book The Spooky Old Tree. which is grandpas favorite story to read to the grandkids!  It was SUPER COOL!

he had to dig where "x" marked the spot

It was a fun day filled with tears and laughter and lots of love!
We got to Skype with Mark in the afternoon and he is doing well. He is at an orphanage in the rural part of Kenya so they dont have much internet access. But he is doing well!
Please keep praying for him and the team!

We finished up the day at 4pm at Sola and it was wonderful to be with the community of believers for a few hours and hear an awesome sermon from Chad, looking through the Bible (Old and New Testaments) to find a Biblical theology for the term "community" which we talk a lot about in our mission as a church body. I cannot tell you how encouraged and convicted I was by this sermon and I am excited to dig into it more this coming week in my own personal study time and then find ways to flesh it out to my unsaved neighbors and other believers in the body of Christ! Exciting stuff!

Only 1 week to go and my man comes home!!!
I cannot tell you HOW excited I am:)
