{Hello School}

 Friday night we dropped off our school supplies, met teachers, scoped out the kids classrooms. 

School starts Monday. 

All four kiddos will be gone from 8:36am-3:13pm Monday thru Friday.

Makes me a tad teary-eyed. 

After 9 years of having a little person by my side almost every hour of every day, 

I will be childless for 7 hours Monday thru Friday. 

I think I will cry on Monday. I'm getting soft in my old age:) 

{Goodbye Summer Break}

 I love summer! Its full of carefree days. Swimming long hours. Late dinners. Lazy evenings watching the kids ride their bikes up and down the street. Chatting with neighbors outside as the sun goes down. Waking up late and laying in bed snuggling kids. No schedules. No rush. Not many commitments.

 I am sad to see summer go. 

School starts on Monday. 

Schedules resume. 

Life picks up pace. 

Violin lessons will start. 

Homework will be due. 

 But today we hung on a little longer at our favorite place- the pool. With friends. 

It was the perfect end to a great summer. 

I am excited for what this school year will bring. 

Seeing the kids grow in knowledge, in friendships, in Christ, in life is exciting to me! 

I know we only have a handful of summers left and I cherish every one! 

 So until next year, goodbye summer! We will miss you! 

Newborn Photo Shoot {Lewis: 2 weeks old}

{This cutie was so much fun to snuggle and photograph} 

We thought he would sleep through most of the shoot but 

he was wide awake for most of it and 

those turned out to be my favorite photos.  

 Val's hands are full with many little ones to love and serve:) 

So blessed to have the Endyks as friends! 

Natalia's {ONE} Year Owl Birthday Party!

 Our sweet little niece, Natalia, turned one year old! 

She is just precious! 

 Aunt Emy made this cool tree out of cupcakes and 

I made the little fondant owls to put on the branches! 

 Natalia also got her own owl smash cake. 

She didn't like being messy:) 

 Sophia really wanted to get Natalia a football. We found a pink one at Target:) 

 I think she liked it!

Tent Camping at Turquoise Lake in Leadville, Colorado

We had a lovely time with our Community Group 

from Sola up in the mountains of Colorado! 

We spent 2 night and 3 days in the great outdoors. 

 The twins used their birthday money to buy a raft and life jackets:) 

WAY better than toys! 

They loved going out on the lake! 

 The water was cold but the kids swam like it was nothing:) 

They especially liked jumping out of the boat.

 The guys took care of dinner- it was humorous to watch! 

 We went thru a lot of firewood so axe skills were needed near the end. 

 Sunset was beautiful! 

 We had so much fun at night using the camera to "light paint". You basically set the shutter speed so the lens stays open for like 6 seconds and then take a light source and draw in the air. The camera records what the pattern of the light and you get these results. It was SO fun!

 The kids LOVEd playing with Ruby and Bailey! Such good doggies! 

 Marcus and Cam even got in some fishing. So did Ari and Sophia! 

Can't wait to go back!
