Pictures with Santa

We LOVE going to Southglenn every year to get FREE pictures with Santa:)
Even though our kids do not believe in Santa, they look forward to this annual tradition.
This year Grandma and Grandpa came with us and we even got ice cream after!

We also got to see a Santa at Aunt Emy's work with little Natalia!
He was a good looking Santa:)

Christmas Ladies Tea

Catherine threw a lovely tea party for her neighbors, family and our community group ladies.
The food was amazing and the tea delicious! We had a fun game and exchanged Christmas ornaments which was really fun! Catherine had awesome party favors- a candle and cute wooden ornament from IKEA! She even included the girls with awesome angel night-lights which the girls use every night.

Love that our girls are all such good friends!
 crazy Ada:)

Blessed to do life and ENJOY life with these ladies!
Thank you, Catherine, for a lovely afternoon.

Horse Show Fun

About a month ago, a sweet family in our church gave us tickets to see the Westernairre show.
The riders are mostly all teenagers- pretty impressive.
It was super cool- lots of horses riding fast and lots of tricks.
The kids did great for the 2 hour show and sat thru the whole thing. There was so much going on that it was hard not to pay attention. My favorite was the battle reenactment that they performed- complete with infantry and indians. It was very loud.
I would do this again in a heartbeat.
Next time, I would try to get there early and get seats in the upper rows. It was hard to see over the fence. And of course, as we were leaving the girls told me they want to learn how to ride a horse!

Littleton Tree Lighting Ceremnoy

We attended the city of Littleton's tree lighting ceremony. It was cold. It was SO crowded.
But at least we had candles for entertainment till it started.

Oh, and COFFEE!

Cherokee Castle- Valor Discovery Night

one of my favorite pictures that I've ever taken- no photoshop!
Mark and I were able to go to Valor's Discovery Night up at a real life castle here in Colorado a few weeks ago. It killed me that they allowed no photography inside the castle. Words don't do it justice.
We ate an amazing dinner in the great hall and even got a tour by a man who was the butler for "Tweet",  the eccentric lady who owned it for many years. I was amazed at all the genuine, one of a kind, art pieces in this place. My favorite was the turret which housed a small library which had Edgar Allen Poe books signed by Poe himself. It seemed every piece/room had a history to it and the butler knew SO much. It was impressive.
Here is the website... http://www.cherokeeranch.org/
I would LOVE to return for a Mystery Dinner Theatre sometime.

view from the balcony of the castle. We got there right as the sun was a little too low for a great picture
