Cherokee Castle- Valor Discovery Night

one of my favorite pictures that I've ever taken- no photoshop!
Mark and I were able to go to Valor's Discovery Night up at a real life castle here in Colorado a few weeks ago. It killed me that they allowed no photography inside the castle. Words don't do it justice.
We ate an amazing dinner in the great hall and even got a tour by a man who was the butler for "Tweet",  the eccentric lady who owned it for many years. I was amazed at all the genuine, one of a kind, art pieces in this place. My favorite was the turret which housed a small library which had Edgar Allen Poe books signed by Poe himself. It seemed every piece/room had a history to it and the butler knew SO much. It was impressive.
Here is the website... http://www.cherokeeranch.org/
I would LOVE to return for a Mystery Dinner Theatre sometime.

view from the balcony of the castle. We got there right as the sun was a little too low for a great picture

Happy Thanksgiving (x2)

We had such a wonderful Thanksgiving week! We celebrated with Mark's family early since they were going to be out of town. The food was AMAZING as always! I absolutely LOVE the picture of Ella watching Grandpa carve Uncle Matt's beautiful 24lb bird.
 Little Natalia stole the show:)
And Aunt Emy's pies were wicked awesome.
On Thanksgiving Day, we had the Lutz family over and enjoyed yet another amazing meal!
Decorating the table was SO much fun.

This is the second time I have cooked a big turkey
and its surprisingly pretty easy and tasted nice and moist.

I got the girls some sparkling apple cider and they thought it was pretty fancy.

We are so blessed to have amazing family and friends to share the holidays with together.

Anderson Farms {Erie, CO}

A few Saturdays ago, the Fish Family invited our community Group with them to their yearly Anderson farm trip every fall. It was a BLAST! There was so much to enjoy at the farm and
it was a very fun filled day!

They had barrel rides, gord launching, corn mazes, animals, panning for gems, go-carts, hayrides, tractor rides, etc.. so much fun! Living in the city, there are VERY few venues like this. And I LOVE fall time and anything to do with pumpkins. You pay $12 to get in and everything is included. We usually don't pay that much for family events but this was totally worth it! We stayed for many hours and the kids and Mark and I had a blast. I think this will become an annual tradition.
