Christmas Festivities 2014

We have lots of fun activities with family and friends this year! Here a few highlights in December! 

1. Getting all fancy for our Sola Churches Elder and Deacon Christmas Party- LOVE these people! 

2. Making Gingerbread houses with our Hopkins friends, the Lees. 

(Elijah was at his basketball tournament)

3. Driving around looking at Christmas Lights and drinking hot cocoa...

4. Baking Christmas cookies, to deliver to our neighbors, with these special ladies! 

5. Celebrating our Colorado Christmas with all of Mark's family who came over for dinner:)

6. Bringing dinner to Great Grandma's house and playing scrabble together:) 

 7. Receiving these awesome handmade hats from our dear friend, Trish! 

I watch her little guy, Findley, a few days a week! LOVE HIM!!! 

 8. Decorating these awesome REAL homemade gingerbread houses, 

made by our good friend Britta! 

9. Caroling to our neighbors with our Missional Community Group. SO FUN!!! 

10. Celebrating with Ella's Girl Scout Troop with a party at our place! 

"Baby It's Cold Outside" Baby Shower

 One of my dearest friends, Nathalie, welcomed a beautiful baby girl into their family thru adoption in November. It has been such a JOY to walk thru this process with their family. Our Missional Community Group threw her a shower and it was overwhelming how many people came and showered Ruth with love and gifts! 

We used the theme, "Baby It's Cold Outside" 

I found loads of free chalkboard printables and decorated in doilies (snowflakes) and pink roses. 

We had a fun snowball tower of donuts and a delicious hot cocoa bar! 

We played "Guess the Baby" with old baby pics of each guest. 

We couldn't be happier that Ruth is here!

Littleton Tree Lighting and Denver's Parade of Lights

Littleton has a beautiful tree lighting after Thanksgiving. 

Everyone holds candles and walks down Main Street. Its gorgeous! 

We met up with a bunch of Hopkins friends this year! 

Love that even in a big city, we run into friends who live in the area. 

 Parade of Lights is, by far, our most favorite parade of the year in Denver! Every float, band, etc has to be lit in Christmas lights! It's just beautiful. Many of the the local college and high school bands play Christmas Carols as they walk thru the streets. We had very nice weather this year!
