Summer Flashback: Devil's Head Hike

One of our favorite family hikes is Devils Head. Its a nice, shorter hike that boasts amazing views and a cool boulder climb up tons of stairs at the end. We did this hike this summer back in June!

 This active fire lookout is at the top of the hike. An old man lives at the top of the mountain and has spotted many forest fires in his long career:) 

Hopkins Field Day

Field Day is another wonderful Hopkins tradition and this was the twins LAST one at Hopkins! Hard to believe. I love that Hopkins works really hard developing leadership skills in the 5th graders. Sophia got to travel around with a group of Kindergartners and help them with games and Arianna got to run the Sack Race station.

 Ms. Hester is our PE teacher and this is her last year:( She's been at Hopkins over 20 years.

She surprised the kids this year with a bouncy house in the gym! 

They were So excited! We will miss her a lot! 

Hopkins Hop-A-Thon

This is our 5th year at Hopkins and one of our favorite traditions is the annual Hop-A-thon Fundraiser. It's a fun morning of running around the field and raising money for our school. We give away awesome prizes and have fun music while we run. It's a great event! I am so privileged to work with such a great group of volunteers on our PTO! They do whatever is necessary to make events like these happen and run smoothly!  We had around 90 participants who raised around $9,500 for the school! Not too shabby:)

Yes, this is my last year as President and I could not be more thrilled in my replacement, Kate! 

 Mr. Hoppy, our school mascot, made an appearance 

and the kids followed him around like the Pied Piper! 

 I love that lots of teachers come out and support the event as well on a Saturday morning! 

We have some awesome staff here at Hopkins! 

Summer Flashback: Colorado's 138th Birthday Celebration at the History of Colorado Museum

 In August, Colorado celebrated its birthday! They had FREE admission to the History of Colorado Museum and we had a fun day with friends exploring the museum. 

It is by far, one of my favorite museums in CO! 

 Happy Birthday, Colorado! We love living in your state!
